However, a recent update to the game’s website reveals that the game is not coming to the PlayStation 4 until “2023.” This news comes as a bit of a surprise, as it was previously thought that Path of Exile would be released on the PlayStation 4 in 2020. It is possible that Hello Games may have decided to delay the release of Path of Exile for budgetary reasons. The game has been in development for over two years and has already cost $60 million dollars. If Path of Exile were released on the PlayStation 4 in 2020, it would have been one of Sony’s most expensive games ever released. It is also possible that Hello Games may have decided not to release Path of Exile on the PlayStation 4 because it does not meet their financial goals.
